I had the opportunity to go to the Burley Public Library and watch the forum in which every City Council Candidate had the opportunity to express himself freely, and also give reasoning to why they should be elected. Though I am not going to personally report what was said…GoBurley.com has recorded the whole meeting, and will be bringing it to you in a series of posts over this next week.
I do feel that it is every citizens responsibility to become informed before you vote, and watching this forum will let you know a lot about what each of the candidates stands for. The video quality is not good, but the sound is clear and our video quality will improve for the Mayors forum. I encourage more people to attend the rest of the forum. After all, these are the people who will be spending your local tax money and determining the future for our community.

Nice job on the video! Thanks for downloading the entire forum to allow people to draw their own conclusions.
Just a “heads up” for tomorrow’s forum. The two mayoral candidates will be placed near the front doors, in the corner by the new book section. Not sure if, or how, that will affect your lighting, sound, etc.
