Michael Loren Driesel, age 36, of Kuna, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, at his home.
Mike was born July 15, 1973, in Caldwell, Idaho, the son of Tom and LeNell (Osterhout) Driesel. On May 25, 1996, Mike married his sweetheart, Kara Blacker of Rupert. They have two beautiful children, Brenna (age 15), and Colter (age 11), that idolized their father and will miss him tremendously. Mike will be remembered by family and friends for his compassion towards others and the love of hunting and fishing with his son, dad, and brothers.
Mike was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kuna 10th Ward.
He is survived by his wife, Kara; daughter, Brenna; son, Colter; parents, Tom and LeNell Driesel; his father and mother-in-law, Ken and Janet Blacker; grandmother, Melba Osterhout; sister, Christie Merrill; brothers, Ed and Kelly Driesel; brothers-in-law, Jason, Kyle, Dondie, Mark and Bob Blacker; 14 nephews; and 19 nieces.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Shelly; grandparents, Ernie and Fay Driesel, and Kenneth Osterhout.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at the Declo LDS Stake Center, 213 W. Main St., in Declo, with Bishop Garth Searle officiating. Burial will be in the Declo Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials be directed to the Mike Driesel Children’s Fund at any US Bank.
