Pablo Jimenez, age 50, of Burley, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, at Cassia Regional Medical Center in Burley.
He was born on April 28, 1959, in Guanajuato, Mexico, the son of Leon Jimenez and Rosa Camacho Jimenez. He moved to Los Angeles, California, in 1976, and to Burley, in 1992, where he had since resided. While living in Burley, he worked for Horizon Dairy until ill health forced him to retire.
Pablo loved working on home improvement projects, woodworking, and soccer.
He is survived by his wife, Margarita Meza of Burley; his children, Juan (Brenda) Jimenez, and Rosy (Sergio) Garcia all of Burley, Michael (Christina) Jimenez of Oakley, Pedro Jimenez of Twin Falls, and Pablo Jimenez also of Burley; his mother, Rosa Camacho; six sisters; two brothers; and his grandchildren, Claudia, Xochitl, Sergio “Baby”, Meya, Michaela, Angel, Zavien, Kevyn, and Yoeli.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Jimenez; and one brother, Antonio Jimenez.
A vigil service with the recitation of the rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, at the Little Flower Catholic Church, 1601 Oakley Ave., in Burley.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 4, also at Little Flower Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Marcos Sanchez as celebrant. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Burley.
Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 6 p.m. until the time of the rosary, and on Thursday from 10 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the Mass.
The family expresses their sincere appreciation to the staff of Cassia Regional Medical Center, Parke View Care & Rehabilitation Center, Dr. Boehmer, and Dr. Owens for the compassionate care given to Pablo.
