I had the opportunity to go to the Burley Public Library and watch the forum in which every City Council Candidate had the opportunity to express himself freely, and also give reasoning to why they should be elected. Burley Public Library will hold three forums in October
Burley Public Library will be providing three opportunities for residents to meet the candidates for city council and mayor. There are six candidates for city council: Casey Andersen, Don Dean, Dennis Dexter, Randy Golay, Gordy Hansen and Steve McGill.

Even though it is a quick note, I wanted to let everyone visiting the site know that we will be posting messages from all those running for city office tomorrow morning. I felt it was vitally important for our community to hear from the candidates in their own words without the bias of a reporter. I am grateful our candidates would be willing to share openly on our site.
The only thing I will say about politics is that it is vitally important to understand what is going on in our community, and with the major position and three city council spots up for grabs, it falls on you as a member of the community to educate yourself about those running for office and vote accordingly. So, GoBurley will provide you with unedited messages from each of the candidates. We won’t even fix their grammar mistakes!
I hope that you read over everything that is said. We will shut off comments on their individual messages, but you may leave comments on this article in relation to what you read.
